Lavender Evening Fog is a haunted mystery podcast. Dr. Anna-Georgina Plume researches the history of Victorian-era educational architecture. When she learns she is able to purchase and move into her old elementary school presents itself, Anna-Georgina jumps at the opportunity. She explores the architecture and the building’s history while gaining new perspectives on her own. Unfortunately, the carousel in the gymnasium turns on without warning, the music room piano plays when no one is around, and a mysterious woman appears at the front gate.

Lavender Evening Fog is an ongoing story. We recommend listening to the episodes in order. The preview episodes, however, can be listened to in any order, though 0.1 and 0.2 generally take place around Season 1 and 0.3 is associated with Season 2.

 Character Bios

Dr. Anna-Georgina Plume (she/her): Dr. Anna-Georgina Plume is Assistant Professor of Architectural History and Preservation in the Department of Social History at Hollingsworth University. She holds a Master’s Degree in architecture and a PhD in History. Her research focuses on educational architecture of the Victorian era, with an emphasis on the role progressive education played on the built environment in the school. Outside of her research, Anna-Georgina loves dogs (she has three), and has recently developed an interest in carousels.

Billy (he/him): Billy is Anna-Georgina’s best friend from her Master’s program. He is both an architect and a professor of architecture. Billy also plays the piano.

Mr. Charles Zaffre (he/him): Mr. Zaffre served as the school librarian for the past 30 years and is looking forward to a much less weird retirement.

Dr. Helen Plume (she/her): Dr. Helen Plume is Anna-Georgina’s grandmother. A classically trained archival researcher, she served as the school librarian of Ellis Field until 1990, at which point she retired, only to start working for the Ellis Field Branch of the county library—which shared a space with the school library, so it wasn’t much of a move.

Samantha Dewey (she/her): At 13, Samantha likes to read, explore her old school, and begrudgingly play the oboe. At 16, Samantha is working as a barista at a local coffee shop. Her love of reading remains constant, as does finding herself at the center of a mystery.
